Connor & Tricia’s Surprise Engagement at New Orleans City Park
Some moments in life are simply meant to happen.
Connor planned the perfect surprise proposal for Tricia at the beautiful City Park in New Orleans, choosing one of the city’s most romantic locations to ask the biggest question of his life. As the afternoon unfolded, dark, ominous clouds rolled across the sky, threatening to wash away months of careful planning.
But sometimes everything falls into place.
Not a single drop of rain fell.
With the dramatic clouds creating an incredible backdrop, Connor got down on one knee, and Tricia’s joyful reaction made the moment unforgettable. The soft light, lush greenery, and breathtaking scenery of City Park combined to create engagement photographs that are both timeless and filled with emotion.
Surprise proposals are some of my favorite moments to photograph because every smile, every tear, and every embrace is completely genuine. There’s only one chance to capture those once-in-a-lifetime emotions, and after more than 31 years as a New Orleans photographer, I still feel honored to preserve memories like these.
