The Details Shot
How important is the details image? More than most brides realize.
Before I photograph a single portrait, I spend time on the flat lay. This one shot tells me everything about who you are as a bride — and it tells your story for years to come when you look back at your album.
Think about what goes into that image: your color tones, the style of your invitation suite, the shoes you chose, the fragrance sitting on the table — Chanel, Dior, whatever speaks to you. These aren’t random choices. They’re an expression of your personality, your aesthetic, and your wedding’s overall story. The details shot captures all of it in a single frame.
It’s not a silly shot. It’s not filler. It’s the opening chapter of your wedding day imagery — and when done right, it sets the visual tone for every image that follows. It sums up your entire wedding as your personal brand.
Don’t skip it. Gather your shoes, your invitation suite, your perfume, your rings, your florals — and let’s tell your story from the very first frame.
